Winter Conditioning

Flyers Off Season Conditioning:

Train indoors in the cold months of November and December. Keep in shape for the upcoming track and field season by working with Flyers coaches and Y Personal Trainers. Click here for an article explaining the importance of staying in shape during the off season. Athletes will be using strength equipment, cardiovascular drills, plyometrics, and speed drills. This class will assist athletes to improve performance in areas specific to track & field.

Water Running:

Age: 11-15 (must be at least 4’8” tall)
Build endurance and muscle strength by running through the water in a sport specific workout. Classes consist of long distance running in the deep end and running drills in the shallow end. Must be comfortable in deep water and have at least basic swimming skills. Water running buoyancy equipment provided.
